Israel announced on Wednesday that it has appealed the International Criminal Court’s decision to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Israel has also asked the ICC to suspend the execution of the arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant pending the outcome of the appeal, the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
