A woman who recently dismissed a lawsuit accusing music industry mogul Jay-Z of raping her at age 13 was recorded agreeing that the rapper did not assault her, according to an audio recording reported on by Rolling Stone.

The recording, reportedly made at the woman’s home on Feb. 21 by private investigators linked to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, captures her saying that her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, “pushed” her to include Jay-Z in the lawsuit.

“He was just there, but he didn’t have anything to do with any sexual acts towards you,” an investigator reportedly asked the woman, to which she replied “yeah.”

In a statement to Rolling Stone, lawyer Tony Buzbee dismissed the recording as “a pieced-together fabrication,” alleging his client was “tricked” and taken out of context.

Buzbee insisted she stands by her claim that Jay-Z assaulted her at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.

The lawsuit, which also named Sean Combs as an alleged assailant, was withdrawn last month without explanation.
