Mexico sought to avoid US President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs by agreeing to a “series of coordinated actions” on Thursday to tackle fentanyl smuggling. Mexico agreed to a “historic” extradition of 29 alleged traffickers, which reportedly included some major cartel figures such as Caro Quintero, who is accused of murdering a US agent.
