A collision between three drug boats off the coast of Morocco has left one person brain dead, according to Pedro Fernández, the Spanish Government delegate in Andalusia, Spanish media reported.

The crash occurred in Moroccan waters near Larache, but the injured were transferred to Sancti Petri, Spain, for treatment.

Six individuals, all Spanish except one Moroccan, were arrested after calling for help and heading to Spanish waters.
