‘The Defiance Monument’ has been gifted by a CEO
A statue of Donald Trump has been erected at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The artwork, titled the ‘The Defiance Monument’, depicts the US president pumping his fist in the air in an apparent reference to the gesture he made after facing an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last July. Moments after a bullet grazed his ear, Trump stood up, raised his fist, and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
The attack, in which several shots were fired, left one person dead and two others severely wounded, with the gunman being killed on the spot by US Secret Service snipers.
Trump himself took part in the unveiling of the statue on Saturday, posing for photos with the CEO of Sticker Mule company, Anthony Constantino, who gifted him the monument.

According to a statement by Sticker Mule’s press service, the president “gleamed with pride after seeing the seven-foot (2.13-meter) bronze monument for the first time.”
“The president was in a happy, joking mood which was great to see,” Constantino said.

The monument stands between the clubhouse and the first hole of the 27-hole golf course and is “prominently visible for all of the members to see,” the statement added.
Constantino, who has been a Trump supporter since his first presidential term, commissioned the statue from LA-based filmmaker and sculptor, Steven Barber, in the fall for $275,000.
The entrepreneur earlier said that presenting the monument to Trump had turned out to be challenging from a legal point of view. “It is complicated with presidents and gifts and all that, so I guess technically I am loaning it to [Trump],” he said.
In February, US sculptor Alan Cottrill unveiled a 15-foot (4.6-meter) bronze statue of Trump, called ‘Don Colossus’, which also pictured him with his first in the air. The piece is expected to tour the country before being permanently placed at the planned Donald J. Trump Presidential Library.
Several other statues of Trump have been made in the US and elsewhere since 2016, including one in Slovenia and one in China. However, some such as ‘Dump Trump’ and ‘The Emperor Has No Balls’ have depicted the president in an unfavorable light.
