Two Moroccan teenagers, Douae, 14, and Houda, 15, have gone missing in London while on a student exchange program. The girls were last seen leaving their hostel in Tavistock Place, central London, at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

They arrived in the UK on January 25 for a week-long stay organized by an independent company and were scheduled to return to Morocco on February 1.

The Metropolitan Police have launched a search, with Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur stressing the urgency of finding them, as they “are in a city and country that is not familiar to them, so the longer they remain missing then the greater our concern for their welfare is,” Skynews reported.

Authorities are working with the Moroccan embassy and the program organizers to keep their families informed, the same source noted.
