Uganda: Opposition headquarters surrounded by security forces ahead of elections

Uganda’s main opposition party, the NUP, led by former musician Bobi Wine, claimed on Monday that its headquarters in Kampala were cordoned off by security forces to prevent the launch of a protest campaign ahead of the January 2026 presidential election.
