South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has been removed from office after the Constitutional Court unanimously upheld his impeachment. Yoon was suspended in December following his failed attempt to impose martial law. The court’s ruling on Friday brought tears of both joy and sadness to his supporters and critics, who gathered in Seoul to watch the live verdict.
