King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival: online falcon registration runs from 22 October to Monday 2 November 2026
Saudi Arabia's National Falcons Centre has set a staged timetable for entries to its 17–30 November festival north of Riyadh, with prize money above SAR 38 million.
Falconers who want to compete at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2026 have a fixed sequence of dates to follow. The National Falcons Centre, which hosts the event at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, from 17 to 30 November, has opened registration and asked entrants to complete each stage on time, according to the Saudi Press Agency, which carried the centre's announcement on 21 October.
**The timetable:** - **22 October – 2 November:** registration and activation of falcons on the centre's online platform. - **29 – 31 October, 4pm to 7pm:** in-person registration at Malham for new falcons in the qarnees class, and transfers of ownership. - **3 – 5 November:** online review of registrations and correction of any flagged issues. - **17 – 23 November, 9am to 1pm:** in-person registration for international participants, who also verify their accounts on the platform. - **Throughout the festival, 9am to 1pm:** registration for the Mazayin (falcon beauty) contest, in person or online; each category closes the day before its round.
**What is at stake.** Prize money tops SAR 38 million, the centre says, contested by Saudi and foreign entrants across two competitions, Al-Mazayin and Al-Malwah; the King Abdulaziz cups and the "Shalfa Al-Malik" and "Saif Al-Malik" titles are also awarded. The organisers describe the event as the largest gathering of falcons in the world.
**Why it matters:** The centre asks falconers to keep to each stage's dates: the online window shuts on 2 November, and the Mazayin contest is the only one listed as taking registrations once the festival is under way, aside from in-person sign-in for international participants.
