Madinah opens Ramadan iftar catering applications at three sites; companies must apply electronically by 18 October

The Madinah Region Development Authority is inviting catering firms to bid to supply iftar meals for fasting individuals at Al-Miqat Mosque, Al-Qiblatain Mosque and the cultural centre in Ramadan 1448 AH. Applications close on 7 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH, which matches 18 October 2026 on the Gregorian calendar used in the same SPA dateline.

Catering companies hoping to supply iftar meals at three Madinah sites this Ramadan have three days left to file. The Madinah Region Development Authority said on 12 October that it is accepting electronic applications from firms interested in providing iftar meals for fasting individuals during Ramadan 1448 AH.

Where: the authority named three locations — Al-Miqat Mosque, Al-Qiblatain Mosque and the cultural centre.

What firms must show: applicants need facility licences, the relevant permits, and staff health certificates, then submit through the authority's electronic channel before the window closes.

Deadline: SPA gives the last day as 7 Jumada al-Awwal. The same SPA item is dated 1 Jumada al-Awwal / 12 October 2026, so 7 Jumada al-Awwal falls on 18 October 2026; Saudi Gazette stated that Gregorian date explicitly.

Why it matters: the authority is taking applications only electronically and only until 7 Jumada al-Awwal (18 October 2026), and SPA did not mention any later round.

Sources: Saudi Press Agency (SPA) N2699139, 12 Oct 2026; Saudi Gazette, 12 Oct 2026 (Gregorian conversion of the Hijri close).

Watch next: whether the authority publishes award dates, meal volumes or a public tender reference number.
