Can you believe it? We made it to another December, and our favorite beauty launches of the month reflect our priorities for the month: we’re equally operating in gifting and wind-down modes. In this month’s batch of launches, some of our standout favorites are soothing under-eye masks we’ll be living in the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, new body washes we’ll be stocking in our showers, and more gifts we can’t wait to see our friends unwrap. Find our favorites ahead.

December’s Launches We Love

Pixi Beauty Ultimate Beauty Kit 7th Edition — $32.00

For the friend who loves to play with color, pick up this limited-edition Pixi kit, which includes a variety of the brand’s most popular eye and cheek shades from the last 25 years (plus some new ones). You’ll find 18 versatile face compacts (blush, highlighters, and bronzer options to sculpt your face) and 20 eye shades in shimmer and matte finishes.

Abel The Apartment Eau de Parfum — $130.00

If you’re in the market for a new moody winter fragrance, consider taking a sniff of the latest from Abel. This one is where the latest black cherry beauty trend meets fancy, effortlessly decorated Parisian apartments. It opens with notes of tart cherry and rum (kinda like a holiday cocktail) before melting to a heart of cacao and then drying down to a balsam finish. It’s a true sensory treat that is perfect for the holiday season but in a really elevated way.

Jones Road The City Lights Kit — $76.00

This limited-edition kit is a great way to introduce a friend to Jones Road (if they aren’t already obsessed). It includes two of the brand’s very viral Miracle Balms (in one new dusty mauve shade) plus a mascara and lip gloss, so basically everything you need for a simple, quick face.

Allies of Skin Azelaic and Kojic Advanced Clarifying Serum — $99.00

I have acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation, so I am always on the hunt for serums and treatments that help with clearing breakouts and dark spots. This one is on my to-try list for December. Its ingredients list is stacked with kojic acid, azelaic acid, licorice extract, and bakuchiol—so it’s a super powerful blend made to fade pigment fast. This stuff is strong when formulated together, though, so I’ll definitely be starting low and slow (and loading up on SPF) to prevent undoing all of its hard work.

Monika Blunder Beauty Eye Deal Eye Liner — $28.00

I am usually not a huge eyeliner person until the holiday season rolls around, then I am blending and smudging out colors for smoky eyes, shimmer, etc. This one’s on my list to try; it comes in two colors (black and brown) and goes on creamy so that you can blend and move around, but if you let the formula set, you’ll also have pigment that won’t budge until you take it off.

Eve Lom x Slip Beauty Sleep Bundle — $116.00

As a parent to a toddler, I can confirm that nothing beats a gift that aids with a better night’s sleep. This set is perfect because it not only includes Slip’s pure silk eye mask (I love these things!), but it also includes Eve Lom’s Smoothing Eye Complex, made with vitamin C, hyaluronate acid, and vitamin E to hydrate and brighten the under eye area.

True Botanicals Chebula Multi-Corrective Under Eye Patches

Have I mentioned my sleep-stealing toddler? She’s why eye patches (a once leisurely, nice-to-have beauty product) are now non-negotiable in my routine. When I have extra time for emails and coffee in the mornings, I love putting these on to perk up my under-eye area, which is usually slightly puffy and dark.

Beyond feeling soothing, these are soaked in good-for-you, potent plant actives like chebula, its star antioxidant, which plumps the under-eye area. These are also 100 percent biodegradable and quickly dissolve under warm water, so I just rinse them in the sink once I finish my cup of coffee.

Milani Keep It Full Glossy Plumping Balm — $13.00

Milani recently launched a new color balm that’s a great addition to any makeup collection. This new formula has the glossy, moisturizing shine you want from a hydrating balm, but it also has a really great color payoff and looks great alone or with your favorite lip liner or lipstick. I’ve been loving the shade Lana, which is a juicy burgundy that’s perfect for winter.

SheaMoisture Manuka Honey Oatmeal Body Wash — $10.00

Part of my home holiday decorating routine includes swapping out all the stuff in my shower caddy with new things that make my shower feel super relaxing, and this one does just that. It’s the latest from Shea Moisture’s range of luxe body care, which includes five nourishing body washes, all targeting different concerns (like dryness, acne, and dullness). I have KP (keratosis pilaris), so I was drawn to this one, formulated with manuka honey, oatmeal, and yogurt to gently buff off dead skin with each wash. Of course, it also smells delicious, so I’m excited to take a steamy everything shower with this one.
