The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards kicked off the 2025 award season with a bang and a night of historic wins, buzzy celeb moments, stunning outfits, and lots of great beauty looks. While the hair and makeup on our favorite celebs is usually what we spend all night gawking over on social media, if you looked too quickly, you may have missed all the coolest manicures from the red carpet.
This year’s batch of nail trends included some of our recent favorites (like gold chrome and bold reds), but there were also a few eye-catching sets featuring 3D designs, pearlescent finishes, and more. Ahead, find our favorite manicures from the red carpet to screenshot and save to your manicure inspo folder.
Elegant emerald tips
Celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec created a custom emerald green set for Viola Davis with a subtle chrome finish that’s the perfect warm and cozy color for winter. To create Davis’ deep green polish, Kandalec blended two parts of Aprés Nails Aloe You Vera Much ($15) with one part Birnam Wood ($15) and topped it with the brand’s Renewal sheer gel color ($15) for a reflective finish.
Naked neutral nails
A solid, square-shaped neutral set is a classic for a reason: it always looks chic and polished whether you’re on a red carpet (like Naomi Watts) or you’re just hanging out at home. Watts’ nail artist Sarah Chue used two coats of Aprés Light & Shadow Sheer Gel in First Glance ($15) to create the perfect milky base.
Red velvet tips
Heidi Klum proved red never goes out of style by contrasting a bright, true-red set with her sea green gown.
Shimmery neutral nails
Cara Delevingne kept her almond-shaped nails painted in a simple, neutral basecoat with a reflective finish that complemented her sequin-covered gown.
Classic jet black set
Zoe Saldana won her first-ever Golden Globe award on Sunday night and picked it up with a classic black mani (also fitting for winter). She kept her shape classic: square and short, which always pairs nicely with dark colors.
Wicked tips
This wouldn’t be a proper red carpet manicure roundup without mention of Cynthia Erivo’s mix-match, 3D-decorated tips that she’s rocked consistently in recent months. The actress paired pink and green (Wicked colors) with blue, opal, and purple for a unique set fit for an artist like herself.
Round French tips
Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik created a classic French-tip set for Selena Gomez using Olive and June’s Gel Polish Base Coat ($10) to enhance her natural nails before using the HD white gel ($10) to create the French line. Bachik used Olive and June’s The Queen Takes Her Tea With Milk ($10) (a milky pink topcoat) to diffuse the tips and keep the white tip from being too vivid.
Metallic 3D
Celebrity manicurist Eri Ishizu gave Ayo Edebiri a fun multi-design set featuring different abstract designs on each finger.
Golden cuticles
Jennifer Coolidge opted for a subtle gold-chrome accent, which her nail artist Temeka Jackson carefully placed at the base of her Aprés Gel-X Stiletto Tips.
Sequin accents
Kate Hudson rocked a pale pink nail base nail look accented with metallic sequin accents by manicurist Brittney Boyce.
Chrome French tips
Quinta Brunson’s pointy cat eye gold tips by Jackson was one of our favorite looks of the night. To achieve it, Jackson used Aprés Nails Light & Shadow gel color in Overdone ($15) topped with the brand’s Cat Eye gel ($18) and 3D texture on top.
